Genie Healthcare is seeking a travel CVOR First Assist for a travel job in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Role: CVOR First Assist (RNFA or CSTFA)

• Shift: 4x10s (07:00–17:30)

• Call: Required (varies based on vein harvesting skills)

   

Unit Details

• Unit Type: Operating Room – CVOR focus
• OR Suites: 23 total (4 dedicated CVOR)
• Staff: 125+ across the OR team
• Floating: May float to Main OR
• Scrubs: Ceil Blue (provided)

Case Types & Patient Population

• Cardiac Cases: CABG, AVR, MVR, Pericardial window, Aortic dissections, congenital peds cases
• Vascular Cases: Fem-pop bypass, AAA repair, AV fistula, etc.

Requirements & Must-Have Skills

• Certifications Required: CST-FA or RN-FA
• Experience: 2–3 years CVOR First Assist (open-heart required)
• Skills:
  • Endoscopic vein harvesting (mandatory)
  • Acting as FA in on-pump cardiac cases
  • Pediatric CVOR experience strongly preferred
• Not Accepted: Vascular-only FA experience (must include open-heart)

Preferred Skills & Fit

• Preferred: Pediatrics CVOR
• Best Fit: Confident, highly skilled in CVOR and vein harvesting

Scheduling & Policies

• Shift Schedule: 4x10s (07:00–17:30)
• Call: Yes (varies with vein harvesting proficiency)
• Weekends: Possible with call coverage
• Orientation/Policies: Unit provides guidelines and policies upon onboarding
