Position Description:
The Job Development and Day Training Staff supports the Program Supervisor and Program Manager in providing vocational training, job coaching, and daily skill development to adults with disabilities. This position plays a key role in implementing individualized vocational goals, tracking progress, and maintaining a safe, inclusive, and encouraging environment that helps each client work as independently as possible..
Position Duties:
· Build and maintain positive, professional relationships with clients, families, and guardians.
· Support the Program Supervisor in daily program operations and client goal implementation.
· Conduct assessments and observations to identify client strengths and areas for growth.
· Provide individualized coaching to help clients improve workplace and life skills.
· Encourage independence, teamwork, and confidence in each client’s daily activities.
· Document progress, attendance, and other data required by DRC or agency policies.
· Support clients in community-based work and day training activities.
· Ensure a safe, positive, and respectful work and training environment.
· Provide support to the transportation department for safe and accurate client sign-in/sign-out for RTC and private transportation.
· Participate in meetings, trainings, and interdisciplinary reviews as required.
· Perform other duties as assigned to ensure program success.
Qualifications
· High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s Degree or coursework in Human Services, Special Education, Psychology, or related field preferred.
· Experience working with adults with disabilities in a vocational, day training, or community-based setting preferred.
· Strong communication, documentation, and observation skills.
· Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented.
· Ability to pass Nevada DHHS background check and DRC fingerprint clearance.
· Valid Nevada driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
· Flexible and adaptable to program scheduling needs.

· Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office, email, documentation systems).
· Knowledge of computer technology, IT support, or technical repair is helpful but not required.
Physical and Working Conditions
· Work performed in both center-based and community settings.
· Requires standing, walking, and light lifting during training activities.
· Must be able to travel between sites as needed.

· Part-Time position; hours may vary based on program needs.
