Job Description

Staffmark is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join a growing team in Centerbrook, CT. In this role, you'll manage the accounts payable process and provide vital support to accounting and administrative functions. Your attention to accuracy and timeliness will help ensure smooth financial operations and maintain strong vendor relationships.

Pay: $20 - $22 per hour (Depending no experience.)

Shift: Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (1st Shift)

Responsibilities

• Review, code, and process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently
• Prepare and process payments via checks, electronic transfers, and ACH
• Verify invoice details including quantities, pricing, and payment terms
• Maintain vendor accounts in compliance with company policies
• Reconcile invoice discrepancies and resolve vendor inquiries
• Assist with month-end close activities related to accounts payable
• Reconcile company credit card statements
• Support the Finance team with additional tasks as needed

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent work experience
• Experience with ERP or accounting systems preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general computer applications
• Familiarity with accounts payable procedures and basic accounting principles
• Additional accounting education or certifications are a plus
• High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities
• Effective communication skills for vendor and team interactions
• Team player with a proactive and collaborative mindset
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
