Express Healthcare Staffing is seeking a creative Recreational Aide with a minimum of 2 years of experience for a 13-week contract for an amazing Long Term Care Facility in Waimea, Kauai. 

 

13 week contract 

40 hours per week

Overall hourly rate: $57.50

Per diem eligibility: $1500.00

Weekly Gross: $2300.00

 

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in planning and implementing therapeutic and leisure activities for patients/residents in a healthcare setting. This role supports the emotional, social, and physical well-being of residents through engaging programs and individualized attention.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and lead recreational activities tailored to residents’ abilities and interests.
• Assess and document residents’ activity needs in collaboration with supervisors.
• Facilitate community outings and reintegration experiences.
• Provide one-on-one engagement and support to residents.
• Coordinate logistics, supplies, and scheduling with hospital departments.
• Collaborate with dietary staff for special meal planning and off-site events.
• Assist with basic patient care tasks and transportation during excursions.
• Maintain activity calendars, equipment, and inventory.
• Attend interdisciplinary meetings and contribute to care planning.

Requirements:

• MUST HAVE a minimum of 2 years of Recreational Aide experience
• Health Checks: 2-step TB test, annual physical, and COVID vaccination.
• Valid Hawaii CNA certification.
• Current CPR/BLS Certifications
• Federal FingerPrint
