Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Cath Lab Specialist with a CO or compact RN license and strong Cath Lab and IR experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Work in a hospital special procedures department focused on Cath Lab cases
• Typical day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Approximately 10 on-call shifts per month including some weekends
• May be required to float to any location within a 60-mile radius of the primary assignment
• Uses Epic charting for documentation
• Role includes assessment, patient plan of care development, implementing interventions, and monitoring outcomes
• Duties include IV insertion, wound care, medication administration, and catheterization
• Must provide patient and family education and serve as a patient advocate
• Opportunity to mentor new staff or nursing students
• Must comply with facility’s flu shot requirement during flu season, with only medical exemptions permitted
• Expected to participate in quality improvement activities and inter-professional team collaboration

\n \n Requirements\n

• Active CO single state RN license or compact RN license required
• American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of Cath Lab RN experience required; 2+ years of Cath Lab and IR experience preferred
• Associate degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
• No local candidates within 60 miles allowed as travelers
• Only active licenses and certifications accepted
