The Supervisor, Data Center at AMD leads a team responsible for break-fix maintenance of multiple servers in a high-volume production environment. They ensure quality standards, SLA compliance, inventory accuracy, and continuous performance improvements while managing personnel development and cost control. Qualifications
THE PERSON: The Site Supervisor is responsible for monitoring day-to-day operations of multiple servers within the production space. They will lead a large team with multiple technicians to provide break fix of servers in a high-volume environment while maintaining all quality standards and delivery of SLA agreements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Manage the break-fix work by supporting the technician team
- Ensure daily SLA goals are achieved
- Ensure all servers are being met with the highest of quality break fix standards
- Ensure team maintains accurate inventory levels
- Develop team members and continuously evaluate their performance
- Perform thorough cost management and waste control and building of personnel
- Assess operations and suggest opportunities for quality and performance improvements
- Engage in personnel performance management
- Assists the Service Manager with overall management as needed
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Previous managerial experience (preferably in a technological environment)
- Experience with continuous improvement and lean processes is beneficial but not required
- Ability to prioritize workload and multi-task
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Basic math and strong analytical skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, and Word)
- Possess a high level of integrity and strong work ethic
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: Bachelors degree
