Job Description

Description:

A new era is unfolding at MetroNational — where business, lifestyle, and community seamlessly converge to create something truly unforgettable. We’re not just planning events; we’re shaping a destination.

Our vision is rooted in creating elevated, meaningful experiences that embody relaxed elegance and intentional living. These aren’t just events — they’re curated moments designed to resonate, captivate, and endure. We strive to craft experiences that feel fresh, relevant, and genuinely aligned with what people value most.

Every detail is intentional. Every experience is branded — not only to reflect MetroNational’s identity, but to stand as a distinct expression of modern lifestyle. While MetroNational remains the unifying brand, each event has its own tone, personality, and sense of magic.

Looking ahead, we’re placing greater emphasis on community connection. That means designing purposeful activations, service-driven initiatives, and meaningful touchpoints that bring people together and create lasting impact. Through strategic partnerships with tenants and brands, we’re building shared value — enabling authentic, effortless connections that feel both generous and real.

Our retail partners are essential to this journey. We’re here to help them shine — collaborating with tenants, amplifying their brands, and creating immersive environments where customers engage in thoughtful, lasting ways.

Ultimately, we’re building more than events — we’re crafting a living narrative that positions MetroNational as a business community, a lifestyle leader, and, above all, a destination. These experiences are a direct extension of our long-term vision, adding depth, color, and purpose to everything we do.

We are looking for a Senior Events manager who shares our passion for detail, beauty, and connection — someone ready to bring bold ideas to life through unforgettable experiences.

Description: The Senior Events Manager is responsible for the strategic planning, execution, and oversight of memorable, high-quality events and activations designed to enhance MetroNational's community presence, tenant engagement, and overall brand experience. This role will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, community partners, and external vendors to execute a year-long calendar of signature events, including festivals, VIP gatherings, community initiatives, and seasonal programming at MetroNational properties.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning & Brand Alignment

  • Develop, plan, and execute a variety of engaging, impactful events that align with MetroNational’s strategic goals and lifestyle brand vision.
  • Conceptualize events that reflect MetroNational’s identity — from VIP experiences and seasonal pop-ups to thoughtful service activations.
  • Ensure each event serves as a distinct expression of the brand while contributing to the larger narrative of MetroNational as a destination.

Event Production & Logistics

  • Oversee all aspects of event logistics including venue management, permitting, vendor selection, contract negotiation, scheduling, and on-site execution.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless operations and exceptional guest experiences.
  • Maintain meticulous attention to detail, ensuring each element reflects the brand’s high standards — from décor to branded elements.

Budget & Resource Management

  • Allocate resources efficiently while balancing quality, creativity, and return on investment.
  • Vendor management, budget tracking, cost allocation and invoice approvals

Collaboration & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Work in close partnership with the Director of Community Development, property management teams, maintenance, security, marketing, and other cross-functional collaborators.
  • Liaise with retail tenants, brand partners, and vendors to co-create experiential activations that enhance their visibility and customer engagement.

Community Engagement & Partnerships

  • Identify and activate partnership opportunities with local organizations, nonprofits, businesses, and schools — especially within Spring Branch ISD and the Memorial Villages.
  • Plan and execute community-focused events such as volunteer initiatives, family experiences, and service-driven fundraisers that support MetroNational’s commitment to social impact.

Brand Experience & Guest Engagement

  • Ensure consistent brand messaging and elevated aesthetics are carried out through all event materials, communications, and on-site activations.
  • Design high-touch experiences that surprise, delight, and deeply connect with key audiences, including affluent families, intentional travelers, and lifestyle seekers.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and creator for all event copy and brand messaging, ensuring consistency, clarity, and alignment with strategic goals across all platforms.
  • Take full ownership of messaging for key initiatives—writing compelling copy, collaborating with designers to develop visual assets, and coordinating all necessary resources to deliver polished, on-brand materials for events, campaigns, and communications.

Performance Tracking & Continuous Improvement

  • Track and analyze key success metrics including attendance, stakeholder feedback, community impact, and ROI.
  • Produce post-event reports with actionable insights and recommendations to inform future planning.
  • Stay current on industry trends and emerging practices in destination marketing, experiential retail, and lifestyle branding.
Requirements:

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 10-12 years of experience in special event planning, marketing management, and execution, preferably in commercial real estate, retail, hospitality, or community-focused environments.
  • Demonstrated success in planning and executing diverse event types, including VIP experiences, community-driven events, and large-scale activations.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills with a strong ability to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, partners, and community stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, emphasizing clarity, professionalism, and effectiveness.
  • Budget management expertise, including tracking, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments and effectively manage event teams.
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends as event schedules dictate.
