As a Security Professional - Education Alarm Desk in Philadelphia, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education and more .

As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at a prominent educational location, you will be the first point of contact for students, staff, and visitors. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring access points, managing visitor check-ins, and responding to security-related incidents as they arise. You will help to deter unwanted activity by maintaining a visible presence and utilizing alarm panels and access control systems. Exceptional customer service and communication skills are essential, as you will interact with a diverse community and provide assistance as needed. Pay Rate: $18.75 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, students, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk.
• Monitor access to the location, verifying identification and/or credentials as required.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Maintain a visible presence at the front desk to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or access.
• Assist with visitor management, including logging guests and providing directions or information as needed.
• Communicate professionally with all individuals at the location, addressing inquiries and/or concerns promptly.
• Support emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal and site leadership.

• Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
