We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to oversee and drive the successful execution of key projects in the defense services industry. This contract position is based in Cincinnati, Ohio, and involves managing projects from initiation to completion while ensuring adherence to contractual, regulatory, and organizational standards. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, technical expertise, and project management skills to deliver results that align with business objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Manage project execution from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standards.

• Apply advanced project management tools and techniques, including scheduling, problem-solving, risk management, and conflict resolution.

• Collaborate with Sales and Proposal teams to develop accurate budgets, schedules, and deliverables that meet contract requirements.

• Transition projects effectively from proposal to contract phase, clearly communicating objectives to all stakeholders.

• Monitor risks, opportunities, and overall project performance, and implement recovery plans where necessary to address deficiencies.

• Oversee cost collection processes to ensure budget accuracy and alignment with financial goals.

• Evaluate technical and manufacturing performance, budgets, schedules, and variances, providing regular status reports to management.

• Coordinate with internal teams, including Segment Directors, Sales Managers, and Customer Service, to ensure successful project execution.

• Occasionally travel to customer or supplier locations to support project needs and maintain strong relationships.

• Hold team members accountable for meeting technical and business objectives, ensuring alignment with contractual requirement

• Proven experience in project management, ideally within the defense services industry.

• Formal project management training or certification, such as PMP is a plus.

• Strong expertise in cross-functional project management and Agile Scrum methodologies.

• Ability to manage complex projects while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills to effectively engage with stakeholders and resolve conflicts.

• Proficiency in risk assessment, budget management, and performance evaluation.

• Strong leadership and organizational skills to oversee diverse teams and ensure accountability.
