Job title: Payroll Tax
Location: Cary NC
3 months contract and Temp to hire

Performs detailed jurisdictional reconciliations for internal and external audits.
• Creates ad hoc reporting to support multiple workstreams and functions.
• Executes system testing to ensure required changes are performed accurately and timely.
• Collectively collaborates with team to proactively monitor internal controls to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely tax filing & reporting to government authorities.
• Audits and validates payroll tax filings / reports submitted on behalf of ABB by our 3rd party service provider.
• Reviews and confirms that all payroll tax deposits are accurate and executed on-time to eliminate any late filing penalties.
• Identifies unusual transactions, escalates when appropriate, coordinates resolution and interacts with 3rd party pay-roll provider.
• Assists with Quarter Balancing & Year End processes with ADP Tax Services.
• Initiates and records earnings and tax adjustments into the applicable payroll system, as requested by ABB’s 3rd party International Tax Partner (PWC). Ensures appropriate documentation exists to prove our employee’s taxable wages and tax liabilities. Engaged in payroll transactions related to Expatriate & Inpatriate employees and monitors the impacts to their taxation.
• Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
• Resolves ServiceNow cases in accordance with the Key Performance Indicators, while also providing exceptional customer service.

Qualifications for the role (Mandatory)
• A relevant Bachelor's degree with two years of payroll time experience or an equivalent combination of experi-ence and education
• Knowledge of payroll methods, end-to-end processing steps, and best practices; up-to-date knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel and other MS Office applications
• Hands-on experience with multi-state and multi-company payroll
• Critical thinking skills to investigate and resolve issues
• Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt well to changing priorities to meet deadlines
• Workday payroll module experience
