Job Description

We are looking for before-school and after-school teachers to our teaching team. Teachers must have the ability to engage the children and earn their trust and attention. We are looking for part-time teachers that can help support the school age students before school from 7am -8:30am Mondays through Fridays and the after-school program from 3:00pm - 5:00pm. 

Responsibilities

• Implement a fun, hands-on and creative classroom environment and schedule
• Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, music, dramatic play.)
• Observe each child and plan age-appropriate activities to help each child improve their social, language, cognitive, skills and build a positive self-esteem
• Facilitate problem-solving with children. 
• Track children’s progress, plan lesson according to children's needs, and conduct family conferences
• Collaborate with other educators
• Communicate with families, colleagues, and students in a professional manner. 
• Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards

Skills

• Proven experience as an Early Educator
• Excellent understanding of the principles of child development
• Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
• Excellent communication and instructional skills
• Patient, friendly, consistent and reliable
• Certification in Pediatric First Aid/CPR (within the first 90 days of employment)
• 2 years childcare experience required
