Mark Square optical is taking a skill and focused optician to join our team. You will play a key role as an optician and providing personalized eyewear solutions and exceptional customer service to our clients. • Assist clients in selecting eyeglass frames, lenses, and contact lenses based on their visual needs, prescription, and style preferences.
• Take precise measurements and fitting parameters to ensure the accurate fabrication and fitting of eyewear.
• Educate clients on lens, options, coatings, and other enhancements to maximize visual comfort and performance.
• Adjust and repair eyeglasses as needed to ensure proper fit and function.
• Verify and interpret optical prescriptions and assist with frame and lens recommendations.
• Maintain a clean and organized dispensing area, including inventory management and frame displays.
• Provide exceptional customer service and follow up care to ensure client satisfaction.

Requirements:

• Licensed optician in Massachusetts.
• Proven experience as an optician, preferably in a retail or clinical setting.
• Strong knowledge of optics, lens, materials, and frame styles to make informed recommendations to clients.
• Proficiency and taking accurate measurements and fitting eyewear for optimal comfort and visual performance.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on delivering a positive client experience.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with optical equipment and tools, and lens optometry.
• A passion for staying current with eyewear trends, industry development, and new technologies.
• A high school diploma or equivalent, additional certification or training in opticianry is a plus.
