Market Sector Directors (MSD) are part of HDR's matrix management structure that drive our business. The HDR Highway & Roads (H&R) sector is the largest, representing nearly $1B in annual revenue globally. It includes clients that own and operate highways, toll roads, city, town, and local roads, and bridge structures. HDR provides services such as bridge and highway design, traffic engineering, transportation planning, and tolling services.
This role requires understanding of H&R clients, their funding, revenue streams, and government structures. The responsibilities are divided into:
The Director sets the vision for HDRs strategy, supports growth initiatives, develops staff, and maintains communication with leadership to implement strategic plans. The role involves client management, business development, strategic planning, and representing HDR in industry organizations.
