Welcome to Ling's Wok Shop, where the wok steals the show! Our kitchen revolves around the wok, guaranteeing fresh, clean, and healthy meals every time. This is a non-exempt tipped position.

Essential Job Functions:

• Hospitality:
• Greet guests warmly and make them feel welcome.
• Provide menu information and answer any questions guests may have.
• Take orders accurately and efficiently using our POS system.
• Ensure guest satisfaction by following our Hospitality Sequence and promptly addressing any issues or concerns .
• Exemplify Ling & Louies Restaurants Core Values and Ling & Louies Hospitality.
• Order Fulfillment:
• Assemble and package food orders according to restaurant standards.
• Serve food and beverages promptly and courteously.
• Maintain a clean and organized service area and dining room.
• Responsible for flow of food and beverage in both the dining room and the bar in accordance with restaurant expectations (this includes knowing 86d items, VIPs and special orders).
• Cash Handling:
• Process guest payments accurately, including handling cash, credit, and debit transactions.
• Ensure proper cash management and report discrepancies to management.
• Team Collaboration:
• Work cooperatively with kitchen staff and other team members to create exceptional experiences for all.
• Assist with restocking and replenishing supplies as needed.
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and health guidelines and standards.
• Perform all duties and maintains knowledge of all Ling & Louies standards and procedures.
• Guest Engagement:
• Build positive relationships with guests to encourage repeat business and brand loyalty.
• Promote restaurant promotions and specials to enhance the dining experience.
• Maintain excellent menu knowledge, guiding guests and making suggestions to enhance the dining experience.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in customer service or food service role preferred but not required.
• Excellent people and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Outgoing, energetic personality with a positive attitude.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Ability to work varying shifts and maintain attendance in accordance with Company policy.
• Ability to learn and demonstrate menu knowledge, including food and beverage preparation, and wine and beer descriptions.
• Ability to learn and operate a keyboard and POS system.
• Ability to pay attention to detail in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks and have a high level of patience.
• Ability to lift, handle and carry trays, smallwares and equipment weighing up to 35 pounds.
