Are you a skilled CNC Lathe Machinist looking to elevate your career in a clean, safety-first, and dynamic manufacturing environment? Join a well-established ISO 9001 certified manufacturer specializing in precision-machined plastic and aluminum components. As part of our continued growth, we are seeking experienced, detail-oriented professionals to join our high-performing team in the Lawrence/Methuen area.

Military experience equivalency may substitute for some requirements.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Set up and operate CNC lathe machines based on technical drawings, blueprints, and detailed work instructions.
  • Select and install appropriate tooling, chucks, and fixtures to ensure machining efficiency and high-quality results.
  • Make real-time program and machine adjustments to maintain tight tolerances and performance standards.
  • Conduct thorough in-process and final inspections using micrometers, calipers, and other precision instruments.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to machining and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate production and quality documentation in accordance with ISO standards.
  • Promote a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following all safety procedures.
  • Contribute to production goals in a high-mix, low-volume setting requiring versatility and focus.

Required Qualifications :

  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience setting up and running CNC lathes.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, including GD&T.
  • Solid understanding of machining practices, tooling, and materials (particularly plastics and aluminum).
  • High attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • 5+ years of CNC lathe experience.
  • Familiarity with G-code and/or conversational programming.
  • Formal CNC certification or completion of a machining vocational program.
